Aerospace Technology Centre Schönefelder Kreuz
The Economic Development Agency has set up a new Aerospace Technology Centre of international renown on a two-hectare estate in Wildau just off the motorway junction Schönefelder Kreuz. The centre was completed in 2003 with the support of the Government of the State of Brandenburg and the Administration of the Dahme-Spreewald District. It is targeted especially at technology-oriented, innovative enterprises, whether it be new set-ups or spin-offs of existing aerospace companies. Due to its close proximity to the projected "Berlin Brandenburg International Airport BBI" the centre has the best conceivable transport links both within and outside the region. Additionally, with the governmental support it receives, the business conditions offered by this location could not be more favourable.

The immediately adjacent University of Applied Sciences Wildau, which offers degrees in aviation engineering, affords excellent opportunities as a pool of human resources from which new businesses can recruit skilled labour. And by commissioning research projects, or offering industrial placements for students, they can even take early steps to prepare their future staff for the special requirements of the industry.
